DTC P1282:00 |
Common rail control system problem |
---|---|
DETECTION CONDITION
|
• When the following conditions are met, the common rail fuel pressure value exceeds 250 MPa {2,549 kgf/cm2, 36,260 psi} or the fuel pressure value exceeds the value calculated by the PCM based on the engine speed for a continuous 1 s.
MONITORING CONDITIONS
Diagnostic support note
• This is an intermittent monitor (fuel system).
• The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA/Snapshot data is available.
• DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
|
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
|
• Limits the engine torque or the upper limit of the engine speed.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Fuel pressure relief valve malfunction
• Fuel pressure sensor malfunction
• Suction control valve malfunction
• Fuel pipe perforation or breakage (poor contact)
• Fuel filter clogged (The PCM corrects the fuel pressure in the direction of increase via feedback control in response to a fuel pressure decrease due to temporary clogging. If the clogging is cleared, a DTC is detected because fuel pressure increases to the threshold or more.)
• PCM malfunction
