VACUUM HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose.

4.  Detach the vacuum hose from the clip.

5.  For SKYACTIV-G 2.0 or SKYACTIV-G 2.5, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose.

6.  For SKYACTIV-D 2.2, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

(2)  Detach the vacuum hose from the clip.

(3)  Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose.

7.  Remove the vacuum hose.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

2.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the cowl grille. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the windshield wiper motor and link. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the cowl panel. (See COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Remove the engine cover. (SKYACTIV-D 2.2) (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

7.  Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose.

8.  Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose. (SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5)

9.  Detach the vacuum hose from the clip. (SKYACTIV-D 2.2)

10.  Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose. (SKYACTIV-D 2.2)

11.  Remove the vacuum hose.

12.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
