ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH INSPECTION

Continuity Inspection

1.  Remove the upper panel and electric parking brake switch as a single unit. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the electric parking brake switch.

Illumination Light Inspection

Note

•  The illumination light is built into the electric parking brake switch. If there is any malfunction, replace the electric parking brake switch.

1.  Remove the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Apply battery positive voltage to electric parking brake switch terminal I, and connect terminal J to ground.

3.  Verify that the illumination light turns on.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the electric parking brake switch.

Indicator Light Inspection

Note

•  The indicator light is built into the electric parking brake switch. If there is any malfunction, replace the electric parking brake switch.

1.  Remove the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Apply battery positive voltage to electric parking brake switch terminal K, and connect terminal L to ground.

3.  Verify that the indicator light turns on.
