DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL

1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
2. Open the driver's door.
3. Switch the ignition off.
4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. 5. Verify the service hole on the back side of the steering wheel shown in the figure.

6. Insert the tool into the service hole.

7. Press the snap springs to disengage them from the pins using the inserted tool.

8. Using a flathead screwdriver, lift the locking device carefully, however do not remove it.

9. Disconnect the driver-side air bag module connector.
10. Disconnect the horn switch connector.
11. Remove the driver-side air bag module.
