| Description | Forward sensing camera (FSC) stops functioning due to temporary high temperature |

| Detection condition | •  The forward sensing camera (FSC) detects that its temperature is high and temporarily stops functioning. | 
| Fail-safe | •  Inhibits the lane departure warning system (LDWS). •  Inhibits the lane-keep assist system. •  Inhibits the high beam control (HBC) system. •  Inhibits the adaptive LED headlights. •  Inhibits the advanced smart city brake support (advanced SCBS) or smart city brake support [forward] (SCBS F). | 
| Possible cause | •  Ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) while the vehicle temperature is high. •  Forward sensing camera (FSC) malfunction |

Diagnostic Procedure

| 1 | VERIFY IF FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) TEMPERATURE WAS TEMPORARILY HIGH •  Leave the vehicle in a cool location. •  Clear the DTC for the forward sensing camera (FSC) using the M-MDS.
 •  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and drive the vehicle at 10 km/h or more for 5 s or more. •  Retrieve the forward sensing camera (FSC) DTCs using the M-MDS.
 •  Is the same DTC displayed? | Yes | Go to the next step. | 
| No | Go to Step 3. | ||
| 2 | VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED •  Clear the DTC for the forward sensing camera (FSC) using the M-MDS.
 •  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and drive the vehicle at 10 km/h or more for 5 s or more. •  Retrieve the forward sensing camera (FSC) DTCs using the M-MDS.
 •  Is the same DTC displayed? | Yes | Replace the forward sensing camera (FSC), then go to the next step. | 
| No | Verify the forward sensing camera (FSC) system operation record using the M-MDS. •  Explain the conditions to the customer referring to the forward sensing camera (FSC) system operation record. Go to the next step. | ||
| 3 | VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED •  Are any other DTCs displayed? | Yes | Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. | 
| No | DTC troubleshooting completed. | ||
