TAILLIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Taillight (Bulb Type)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2. Remove the trunk lid recess. (Taillight bulb (RH)) (See TRUNK LID RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Partially peel back the trunk lid trim. (See TRUNK LID TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Rotate the socket in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove it from the trunk lid light in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure.

5. Remove the taillight bulb.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole in the position shown in the figure.

3. Move the flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure to detach the service hole cover tabs from the liftgate.

4. Pull out the service hole cover in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure and pull out the service hole cover hooks from the liftgate.

5. Remove the service hole cover.

6. Rotate the socket in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove it from the liftgate light in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure.

7. Remove the taillight bulb.

8. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Taillight (LED Type)

Note

• The LED-type taillight is integrated with the trunk lid light.

• When replacing the LED-type taillight, replace the trunk lid light. (See TRUNK LID LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

• The LED-type taillight is integrated with the liftgate light.

• When replacing the LED-type taillight, replace the liftgate light. (See LIFTGATE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
