MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE

Purpose
• The Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module controls the Mazda ERA-GLONASS based on a collision detection signal from the SAS control module or Mazda ERA-GLONASS switch operation signal.
Functions
Power supply switching function

• If the power supply from the battery is cut off, the Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module switches the power supply circuit to the built-in battery.

• It is necessary to replace the built-in battery periodically. For details, refer to the [MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in the workshop manual.
Mazda ERA-GLONASS operation status notification function

• The Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module notifies the user of the Mazda ERA-GLONASS operation status using a notification sound.
• The notification sound is activated in the pattern shown in the following figure.

On-board diagnostic function

• The Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module is equipped with an on-board diagnosis function which records DTCs in the event of a malfunction.
Structure/Construction
• The Mazda ERA-GLONASS control module is located in the rear console.
