i-ELOOP WARNING INDICATION/i-ELOOP WARNING LIGHT (AMBER) [i-ELOOP]
id131704501400
Purpose
• The i-ELOOP warning indication/i-ELOOP warning light (amber) notifies the user that an i-ELOOP-related part is malfunctioning. (without center display)
Function
• The PCM sends an i-ELOOP warning light (amber) illumination request signal/i-ELOOP warning indication request signal to the instrument cluster.
• When the instrument cluster receives an i-ELOOP warning light (amber) illumination request signal/i-ELOOP warning indication request signal sent from the PCM via CAN communication, it turns the i-ELOOP warning light (amber) on or displays the i-ELOOP warning indication.
Construction
• The i-ELOOP warning indication or i-ELOOP warning light (amber) is built into the instrument cluster.
• For vehicles equipped with the multi-information display, a warning message is displayed in the multi-information display as the same time the wrench indicator light is turned on/wrench indication is displayed. For the message content and verification method, refer to [MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY]. (See
MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY.)
• For vehicles with the center display, a warning message in the center display is displayed when the i-ELOOP warning indication displays. For the message content and verification method, refer to the [CENTER DISPLAY]. (See
CENTER DISPLAY [WITH CENTER DISPLAY].)
Operation
i-ELOOP warning indication
1. When the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on), the instrument cluster receives (1) an i-ELOOP warning indication request signal from the PCM via CAN communication.
2. The instrument cluster displays (2) the i-ELOOP warning indication in the multi-information display.
i-ELOOP warning light (amber)
1. When the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on), the instrument cluster receives (1) an i-ELOOP warning light (amber) illumination request signal from the PCM via CAN communication.
2. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the i-ELOOP warning light (amber) illumination request signal.
3. When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the i-ELOOP indicator light (green) is established and the i-ELOOP warning light (amber) turns on (3).
