Configuration data unmatched with instrument cluster

Detection condition

•  Configuration data of the adaptive LED headlights control module and instrument cluster are not matched.

Fail-safe

•  When the setting is on using the personalization feature, control is continued based on the recorded value at the previous operation. (Recorded value is initialized and operation is switched to normal next time ignition is switched ON)

•  Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued.

Possible cause

•  DTCs are stored in the instrument cluster.

―  Instrument cluster configuration not implemented

―  Instrument cluster internal memory malfunction

•  Instrument cluster configuration data error

•  Adaptive LED headlights control module malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DTCs • Perform the DTC inspection for the instrument cluster using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER].) • Is the DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER].)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	RESET INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONFIGURATION DATA • Using the M-MDS, perform the instrument cluster configuration with the As-Built data. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONFIGURATION (USING AS-BUILT DATA).) • Clear the adaptive LED headlights control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE].) • Perform the DTC inspection for the adaptive LED headlights control module using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE].) • Is the DTC U2300:56 displayed?	Yes	Replace the adaptive LED headlights control module, then go to the next step. (See ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED • Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS CONTROL MODULE].)
3		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
