REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution
•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat back removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.
Note
•  When removing the rear seat back from the vehicle or putting it back in, it can be performed easier by removing the headrest.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (with rear seat warmer system) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Fold the rear seat back.

3.  Disconnect the connectors. (with rear seat warmer system)

4.  Remove the bolts.

5.  After moving the rear seat in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, remove the pins while moving the side hinge/center hinge in the direction of the arrow (2).

6.  Remove the rear seat back.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.


WGN

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (with rear seat warmer system) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the rear center seat belt lower anchor installation bolt. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Fold the rear seat back.

5.  Disconnect the connectors. (with rear seat warmer system)

6.  Remove the trunk covering. (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7.  Remove the trunk board. (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.  Press the tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure to disengage it, and open the upper part of the case in the direction of the arrow (2).

9.  Disconnect the remote cable.

10.  Remove the bolt.

11.  After moving the rear seat in the direction of the arrow (3) shown in the figure, remove the pins while moving the side hinge/center hinge in the direction of the arrow (4).

12.  Remove the rear seat back.

13.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

14.  Pull the remote handle levers and verify that the rear seat backs are unlocked.

•  If any of the rear seat backs does not unlock, or it is hard to unlock or lock, adjust the remote cable. (See REMOTE HANDLE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
