1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) 2. Remove the following parts:

(1) Sunroof seaming welt (with sunroof system) (See SUNROOF UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2) A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3) Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4) Front map light (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5) Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6) Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7) Front side trim (RH) (with center display) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8) Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9) B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(10) Adjust anchor cover (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Set the shift lever component aside. (MTX) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R].) (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [D66M-R, D66MX-R].)

4. To prevent damage to the headliner, spread a cloth at the position shown in the figure.

5. Disconnect the roof wiring harness connector and remove the roof wiring harness connector clip from the body.

6. Pull the roof wiring harness out from the A-pillar side. (with center display)

7. Affix protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

8. Temporarily install the seaming welt shown in the figure to the headliner.

Caution

• If fasteners are removed without temporarily installing the seaming welt, the headliner may fall off and the part may be damaged. Before removing fasteners, temporarily install the seaming welt to prevent the headliner from falling off.

9. Remove fasteners.

10. Partially peel back the seaming welt. Take the headliner out from the opened passenger-side door opening.

11. Install in the reverse order of removal.

3. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into shown in the figure and remove cover in the direction of arrow.

4. Remove the screw.

5. Pull the cargo net upper hook in the direction of the arrow and remove it while detaching pin.

6. Disconnect the roof wiring harness connector and remove the roof wiring harness connector clip from the body.

7. Pull the roof wiring harness out from the A-pillar side. (with center display)

8. Disconnect the rear washer hose C.

9. Temporarily install the seaming welt shown in the figure to the headliner.

10. Remove fasteners D.

11. Partially peel back the seaming welt. Take the headliner out from the opened liftgate.

12. Install in the reverse order of removal.

3. Remove the headliner cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure while detaching fastener A, fastener B.

4. Disconnect the roof wiring harness connector and remove the roof wiring harness connector clip from the body.

5. Pull the roof wiring harness out from the A-pillar side. (with center display)

6. Disconnect the rear washer hose C.

7. Temporarily install the seaming welt shown in the figure to the headliner.

8. Remove fasteners D.

9. Partially peel back the seaming welt. Take the headliner out from the opened liftgate.

10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
