Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) set switch

DETECTION CONDITION
|
• Continuous ON signal from the TPMS set switch for 60 s or more is detected.
|

FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
|
• Refer to “Fail-safe Function Malfunction Contents”. (See DTC TABLE [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)].)
|
||
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• The driver pressed and held the TPMS set switch for 60 s or more.
• TPMS set switch malfunction
|

VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DTC
• Using the M-MDS, perform the instrument cluster DTC inspection.
• Are any DTCs present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
DTC troubleshooting completed, then go to the next step
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

INSPECT TPMS SET SWITCH
• Inspect the TPMS set switch.
• Is the TPMS set switch normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the TPMS set switch, then go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
• Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM.
• Using the M-MDS, perform the DSC HU/CM DTC inspection.
• Is the same DTC present?
|
Yes
|
Repeat the inspection from Step1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT
• Are any DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
