Determination Procedure

Caution

•  When disconnecting the connector, verify that there is no looseness, damage, deformation, corrosion, or poor connection of the connector terminals.

•  When inspecting the DLC-2, touch it with a paper clip or similar thin pin without directly inserting a tester into the terminals.

1	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) •  Disconnect connector 2 which has front body control module (FBCM) terminals 2P and 2N. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to Step 3.
		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT CAN LINE INSIDE FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between front body control module (FBCM) terminal 2P and body ground ―  Between front body control module (FBCM) terminal 2N and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Replace the front body control module (FBCM) because there is a short to ground in the front body control module (FBCM). (See FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	Go to Step 44.
3	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTORS C-43 AND C-44 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect connectors C-43 and C-44. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to Step 6.
		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE / AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTORS C-43 AND C-44 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module terminal AB and body ground ―  Between adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module terminal AD and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the front body control module (FBCM) and connectors C-43 and C-44 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
5	INSPECT CAN LINE IN ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE / AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module terminal AB (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module terminal AD (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module and connectors C-43 and C-44 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module because there is a short to ground in the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module / auto leveling control module. (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-04 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect connector C-04. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	•  Go to the next step. (4WD) •  Go to Step 12. (2WD)
		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the connectors C-43 and C-44 and connector C-04 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
7	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTORS C-60 AND C-59 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect connectors C-60 and C-59. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	•  Go to Step 17. (with position memory system) •  Go to Step 12. (without position memory system)
		No	Go to the next step.
8	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN DC-DC CONVERTER (i-ELOOP) AND CONNECTORS C-60 AND C-59 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1A and body ground ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1C and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 10.
9	INSPECT CAN LINE IN DC-DC CONVERTER (i-ELOOP) FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1A (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1C (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) and connectors C-60 and C-59 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) because there is a short to ground in the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP). (See DC-DC CONVERTER (i-ELOOP) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [i-ELOOP].)
10	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN 4WD CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTORS C-60 AND C-59 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between 4WD control module terminal G and body ground ―  Between 4WD control module terminal H and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-04 and connectors C-60 and C-59 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
11	INSPECT CAN LINE IN 4WD CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the 4WD control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between 4WD control module terminal G (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between 4WD control module terminal H (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the 4WD control module and connectors C-60 and C-59 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the 4WD control module because there is a short to ground in the 4WD control module. (See 4WD CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
12	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTORS C-49 AND C-50 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect connectors C-49 and C-50. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	•  Go to Step 17. (with position memory system) •  Go to Step 23. (without position memory system)
		No	•  Go to Step 15. (4WD) •  Go to the next step. (2WD)
13	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN DC-DC CONVERTER (i-ELOOP) AND CONNECTORS C-49 AND C-50 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1A and body ground ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1C and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	•  Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-04 and connectors C-49 and C-50 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground. (with position memory system) •  Go to Step 15. (without position memory system)
14	INSPECT CAN LINE IN DC-DC CONVERTER (i-ELOOP) FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1A (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) terminal 1C (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) and connectors C-49 and C-50 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) because there is a short to ground in the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP). (See DC-DC CONVERTER (i-ELOOP) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [i-ELOOP].)
15	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTORS C-49 AND C-50 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AD and body ground ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AB and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	•  Repair or replace the wiring harness between connectors C-60 and C-59 and connectors C-49 and C-50 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground. (4WD) •  Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-04 and connectors C-49 and C-50 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground. (2WD)
16	INSPECT CAN LINE IN ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the electric parking brake control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AD (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AB (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the electric parking brake control module and connectors C-49 and C-50 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the electric parking brake control module because there is a short to ground in the electric parking brake control module. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
17	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTORS C-51 AND C-52 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect connectors C-51 and C-52. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to Step 23
		No	Go to the next step.
18	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTORS C-51 AND C-52 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between position memory control module terminal 1C and body ground ―  Between position memory control module terminal 1E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 21
19	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTOR C-19 •  Disconnect connector C-19. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between position memory control module terminal 1C and body ground ―  Between position memory control module terminal 1E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-19 and connectors C-51 and C-52 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
20	INSPECT CAN LINE IN POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the position memory control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between position memory control module terminal 1C (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between position memory control module terminal 1E (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the position memory control module and connector C-19 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the position memory control module because there is a short to ground in the position memory control module. (See POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
21	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTORS C-51 AND C-52 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AD and body ground ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AB and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	•  Repair or replace the wiring harness between connectors C-60 and C-59 and connectors C-51 and C-52 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground. (4WD) •  Repair or replace the wiring harness between connectors C-49 and C-50 and connectors C-51 and C-52 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground. (2WD)
22	INSPECT CAN LINE IN ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the electric parking brake control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AD (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between electric parking brake control module terminal AB (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the electric parking brake control module and connectors C-51 and C-52 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the electric parking brake control module because there is a short to ground in the electric parking brake control module. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
23	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTORS C-58 AND C-57 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect connectors C-58 and C-57. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to Step 26.
		No	Go to the next step.
24	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN AUDIO AMPLIFIER AND CONNECTORS C-58 AND C-57 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between audio amplifier terminal 2L and body ground ―  Between audio amplifier terminal 2N and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	•  Repair or replace the wiring harness between connectors C-51 and C-52 and connectors C-58 and C-57 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground. (with position memory system) •  Repair or replace the wiring harness between connectors C-49 and C-50 and connectors C-58 and C-57 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground. (without position memory system)
25	INSPECT CAN LINE IN AUDIO AMPLIFIER FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the audio amplifier connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between audio amplifier terminal 2L (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between audio amplifier terminal 2N (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the audio amplifier and connectors C-58 and C-57 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the audio amplifier because there is a short to ground in the audio amplifier. (See AUDIO AMPLIFIER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
26	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-10 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Disconnect connector C-10. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connectors C-58 and C-57 and connector C-10 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
27	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-10 AND CONNECTOR C-11 •  Disconnect connector C-11. •  Connect connector C-10. •  Connect connectors C-58 and C-57. •  Connect connectors C-51 and C-52. •  Connect connectors C-49 and C-50. •  Connect connectors C-60 and C-59. •  Connect connector C-04. •  Connect connectors C-43 and C-44. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between front body control module (FBCM) terminal 2K (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between front body control module (FBCM) terminal 2I (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-10 and connector C-11 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Go to the next step.
28	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-11 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to Step 30.
		No	Go to the next step.
29	INSPECT CAN LINE IN FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the forward sensing camera (FSC) connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between forward sensing camera (FSC) terminal M (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between forward sensing camera (FSC) terminal N (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the forward sensing camera (FSC) and connector C-11 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the forward sensing camera (FSC) because there is a short to ground in the forward sensing camera (FSC). (See FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
30	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-11 AND CONNECTOR C-34 •  Disconnect connector C-34. •  Connect connector C-11. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between front body control module (FBCM) (wiring harness side) terminal 2K and body ground ―  Between front body control module (FBCM) (wiring harness side) terminal 2I and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-11 and connector C-34 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Go to the next step.
31	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-34 AND DLC-2 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-34 and DLC-2 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Go to the next step.
32	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN EPS CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTOR C-34 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between EPS control module terminal 2A and body ground.(connector 8-pin type) ―  Between EPS control module terminal 2B and body ground.(connector 4-pin type) ―  Between EPS control module terminal 2D and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 34.
33	INSPECT CAN LINE IN EPS CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the EPS control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between EPS control module terminal 2A (wiring harness side) and body ground. (connector 8-pin type) ―  Between EPS control module terminal 2B (wiring harness side) and body ground. (connector 4-pin type) ―  Between EPS control module terminal 2D (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the EPS control module and connector C-34 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the EPS control module because there is a short to ground in the EPS control module. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
34	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE AND CONNECTOR C-34 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module terminal 1Q and body ground. ―  Between MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module terminal 1S and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 36.
35	INSPECT CAN LINE IN MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module terminal 1Q (wiring harness side) and body ground. ―  Between MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module terminal 1S (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module and connector C-34 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module because there is a short to ground in the MAZDA ERA-GLONASS control module. (See MAZDA ERA-GLONASS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
36	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-34 AND CONNECTOR C-35 •  Disconnect connector C-35. •  Connect connector C-34. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the connector C-34 and connector C-35 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Go to the next step.
37	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN START STOP UNIT AND CONNECTOR C-35 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between start stop unit terminal 2M and body ground ―  Between start stop unit terminal 2O and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 39.
38	INSPECT CAN LINE IN START STOP UNIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the start stop unit connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between start stop unit terminal 2M (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between start stop unit terminal 2O (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the start stop unit and connector C-35 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the start stop unit because there is a short to ground in the start stop unit. (See START STOP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
39	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT (CMU) AND CONNECTOR C-35 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between connectivity master unit (CMU) terminal 2E and body ground ―  Between connectivity master unit (CMU) terminal 2F and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 41.
40	INSPECT CAN LINE IN CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT (CMU) FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the connectivity master unit (CMU) connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between connectivity master unit (CMU) terminal 2E (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between connectivity master unit (CMU) terminal 2F (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the connectivity master unit (CMU) and connector C-35 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the connectivity master unit (CMU) because there is a short to ground in the connectivity master unit (CMU). (See CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT (CMU) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
41	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND CONNECTOR C-35 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between instrument cluster terminal B and body ground ―  Between instrument cluster terminal D and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 43.
42	INSPECT CAN LINE IN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the instrument cluster connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between instrument cluster terminal B (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between instrument cluster terminal D (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the instrument cluster and connector C-35 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the instrument cluster because there is a short to ground in the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
43	INSPECT CAN LINE IN SAS CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the SAS control module connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between SAS control module terminal 3B (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between SAS control module terminal 3C (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the SAS control module and connector C-35 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the SAS control module because there is a short to ground in the SAS control module. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
44	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-01 AND FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) •  Disconnect connector C-01. •  Connect connector 2 which has front body control module (FBCM) terminals 2P and 2N. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-01 and the front body control module (FBCM) because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Go to the next step.
45	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-01 AND TCM •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between TCM terminal E and body ground ―  Between TCM terminal F and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 47.
46	INSPECT CAN LINE IN TCM FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the TCM connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between TCM terminal E (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between TCM terminal F (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the TCM and connector C-01 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the TCM because there is a short to ground in the TCM. (See CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FW6A-EL].) (See CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL].)
47	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-32 AND CONNECTOR C-01 •  Disconnect connector C-32. •  Connect connector C-01. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DLC-2 terminal F and body ground ―  Between DLC-2 terminal E and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-32 and connector C-01 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Go to the next step.
48	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN DSC HU/CM AND CONNECTOR C-32 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DSC HU/CM terminal E and body ground ―  Between DSC HU/CM terminal D and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 50.
49	INSPECT CAN LINE IN DSC HU/CM FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the DSC HU/CM connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between DSC HU/CM terminal E (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between DSC HU/CM terminal D (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the DSC HU/CM and connector C-32 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the DSC HU/CM because there is a short to ground in the DSC HU/CM. (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
50	INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND BETWEEN RADAR UNIT AND CONNECTOR C-32 •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between radar unit terminal D and body ground ―  Between radar unit terminal C and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 52.
51	INSPECT CAN LINE IN RADAR UNIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the radar unit connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between radar unit terminal D (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between radar unit terminal C (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the radar unit and connector C-32 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the radar unit because there is a short to ground in the radar unit. (See RADAR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
52	INSPECT CAN LINE IN PCM FOR SHORT TO GROUND •  Disconnect the PCM connector. •  Inspect for continuity at the following terminals: ―  Between PCM terminal 2AK (wiring harness side) and body ground ―  Between PCM terminal 2AL (wiring harness side) and body ground •  Is there continuity?	Yes	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the PCM and connector C-32 because the wiring harness is shorted to ground.
		No	Replace the PCM because there is a short to ground in the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)
